I have been using this Toner microphone for 2 months. During this time, I have been working from home and my children have had to attend school through virtual learning. With everyone using virtual meetings, I needed a 2nd microphone for my children to use when they met with their teaches and classmates. I decided to pick up this microphone as a secondary mic and have been overly impressed with the quality. We have received comments from teachers, classmates, and even my coworkers with how good this microphone sounds. Everyone has told us that we are super clear and there is minimal background noise. This mic does come off a little hot at times for both conference calls and voiceover work. The good news is that there is a feature in Zoom that will automatically adjust the volume of your mic. That is in the audio settings for Zoom. You can also adjust the volume manually by right clicking on your speaker tool, going to “Open Sound Settings”, then going to device options in this menu. From there you can adjust the input volume of your microphone. I have found between 90 and 95 is a good level. This Toner microphone is super easy to setup. I just plugged it into my computer and Windows 10 installed the drivers. I was up and running in seconds. I really like when Windows 10 can install drivers without me having to go to a company’s support page to download. This microphone has no bells or whistles so if you are looking for additional features this is not the microphone for that. I really do like how it has a shock absorber. It helps a little bit, but I would not say that it does an amazing job. This microphone does not have a screw thread on a bottom. So, you are not able to mount on a tripod or boom pole. You would have to buy something that lets you mount with some sort of clamp if you are looking to get this mic off your desk.I would recommend this Toner mic to anyone that is looking for a USB Condenser Microphone for under $50.00. It has been a great budget option for my family and me throughout this time of virtual work and schooling.
Bought 2 of these units for gifts and tested on my professional sound system MacPro, thru 4 tests, the audio pickup frequencies and range was almost spectrum-based matching to my Shure Microphone, Rode and my Blue Yeti Black Edition. There were some small deviations in low frequency pickup but otherwise for the usage in gaming, communication such as Teams, G. Meet, and Zoom, this microphone can't be beat. Premium build quality all the way around with good construction and weight. Does not feel cheap at all. Super Impressed and have now ordered another for my personal use to keep w/ my laptop when I travel. Amazing performance for a great price. Great Job! Tonor!
I've been podcasting for years and everyone says to get the Blue Yeti, and I have that one and another but this Tonor usb mic is top of the line quality at a budget price. I love that everything needed comes with it. No extra costs for a pop filter or stand. Just plug it in and it configured itself right up. Windows 10 is what I have it connected to and it just works. Very solid construction, the box/packaging was even top notch. It looks like the same level of detail of products that you would find in the Apple Store. So for the big test, how does it sound when recording/broadcasting? I don't care if it looks great but sounds bad, after all it is a microphone and not a beauty contest. Well, I tested it and can hear no difference at all compared to my other mics. I looked at the sound file, and saw no difference in anything,
I prepare online lectures at home for college students. Initially, my hardware included a Logitech C920 for video and audio capture but the audio was never very good and I had to spend hours improving the audio track to make it acceptable. My home office generates a lot of reverb, and the mic also amplified essing. I bought this microphone with the hope that a dedicated mic could eliminate those issues, and it did brilliantly. The mic is plug and play, no driver to download. It was immediately recognized in the Windows audio settings and the sound quality was night and day relative to the audio captured by my webcam. The sound is clear, crisp, loud enough and most of side issues like essing and reverb were completely eliminated. Very impressed, especially given the price. I highly recommend this mic for voice recording. Fantastic product!
I've had this for a couple of months now, and it had been great so far!I use it a lot to play games online with my friends, discord calls and recording my voice for different things. My voice comes through clearly and I never have to deal with the issues my friends always seem to have of their mic not picking up their voice or not syncing with programs properly.I rarely have any issues at all. The only thing that has come up is that occasionally someone will complain that my voice is "cutting out" but I'm not sure if this is an issue with the mic, my internet, or something on their end. So far it hasn't been a consistent issue so I'm pretty sure it isn't an issue with the mic itself.I'll update if anything changes, but if you're thinking about getting this mic I would say it's definitely worth the money if you spend a lot of time talking to people at your PC.
